About the event
We are excited to announce a special day of connection and aquatic play at The Inner Sanctum. Deep in the woods, with the nearest neighbors almost a mile away, and the ocean view on the horizon, this venue is a real treasure. Your nervous system will be given the gift of experiencing the depth of relaxation and the calming effects that nature and warm water immersion has on our nervous system. (for many it feels like returning back to the womb)
Shannon will be guiding aquatic exploration and Liquid Contact, followed by a warm bowl of nourishment. We will conclude the evening with heart shares, and tea.
With epic soundtracks playing both above and underwater in a 97 degree womb-temperature pool, you will be supported to explore a variety of water principals and movement states, dropping deeply into self and presence. From this place, we lean into platonic intimately with others as we are guided by the water to explore yielding, listening, and surrender.
Through our community journey we will deepen trust, explore consent, playfulness, & experience nourishing relaxation.

ABOUT SHANNON SAHAJA:
Shannon Sahaja is an embodiment alchemist who feels most at home in the woods, on a dance floor, in warm water or engaged in silly shenanigans. She holds a BFA in Dance from S.U.N.Y Purchase, and has 2 decades of experience as a movement facilitator. She is well known for her loving approach to yoga that was developed during her 8 years of living and teaching at Harbin Hot Springs and through her mentorship with Angela Farmer. Shannon enjoyed being the manager and sacred space holder for Ecstatic Dance Oakland from 2017-2024. She has studied extensively with many of the early pioneers of Contact Improvisation and loves articulating the mechanics of weight sharing for those unfamiliar with the form. She brings delight to the space with her unique ability to create safety while spicing things up with humor and spontaneity. Shannon has a presence that guides those in her field to come home to their essential self through play, attunement and depth.
